In today’s fast life we eat unhealthy foods like fast foods, fried foods, processed foods, packaged foods. I had covered 3 different sets of detox varieties

1) Detox Drinks/Tea-These should be taken on empty stomach for better results and boosts the immune system.

2) Vegetables & Fruits-Both the combination of fruits and vegetable detox drinks can be taken in anytime of the day. These helps to reduce stress levels, increase the metabolism and balances the sugar level

3) Natural Boosters-Turmeric milk, Green tea, lemonade, coconut water, Sugar cane juice. These are easily available everywhere and helps to give instant energy.

Preparation Method is similar for all detox drinks. Only the ingredients will be changed as per the availability and taste. So i am mentioning the common procedure for all detox drinks.

Step 1-Boiling 1 glass of water in the saucepan serves for 1 person.

Step 2:-Add the ingredients and get the water boiled for 3-5 minutes.

Step 3:-Drain the water and keep it aside. Once it is lukewarm temperature add lemon and honey for better flavour or drink as plain water.

1.Cinnamon tea

Ingredients

  • Small Cinnamon stick or powder
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 spoon Honey
  • ½ lemon

Preparation Method:-

  1. Take a saucepan and boil 1 glass of water. once the water is boiled add the cinnamon,ginger pieces and get the water boiled for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Strain the mixture and once the water is at lukewarm temperature add the honey and lemon.

Health Benefits:-

  • Boost the immune system, rich in antioxidants and anti-bacterial properties that help to improve the digestive system and strengthen it to fight various illnesses like throat pain, cold and cough symptoms.

Note:-Mix honey and cinnamon with warm water and gargle it that helps get rid of bad breath. Do it at least twice a week for desired results.

2.Jeera water

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
  • 1 glasses of water
  • 1 tsp honey

Note: – Jeera can be replaced with Ajwain (vaamu), Saunf also

Keep any of these 3 ingredients (jeera, Ajwain, Saunf) in handy so that you can chew it daily after meal and can drink warm water for instant relief incase of any indigestion or any stomach burning sensations.

1.Take a sauce pan add water and bring the water to a boil.

2.Add 1 spoon of jeera seeds to the water and boil it for 5 min until the water is reduced to half the quantity .Once the water started changing the colour Turn off the flame.

  • 3-4 peppercorns
  • Basil leaves or Tulasi leaves (if available)
  • 1 small inch cinnamon

Preparation Method:-

1.Take a sauce pan add water and bring the water to a boil.

2.Add 1 tbspn turmeric powder,pepper,Tulasi or mint leaves ,cinnamon to the water and boil it for 5 min.Turn off the flame.

1.Take a sauce pan add 1 glass water and bring the water to a boil.add the ginger and get it boiled for 5 minutes

5.Mint Tea

Ingredients

6.Mint cooler

Ingredients:

  • Mint/Pudina leaves – 1/4 cup
  • Lemon – 1 whole
  • Honey – 1 tbsp (adjust according to taste)
  • Ginger juice – 1 tsp
  • Cold Water /Soda
  • Black salt

Preparation Method:

1.Take a mixer or a blender add the mint leaves and little water and grind well

8.Lemon and Cucumber Detox Water

Ingredients:-

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cucumber

1.Peel the orange and cut the carrot in thin Slices.
