Today I am giving an easy and healthy way of salad preparation and recipes. These salads are good for people who do not have much time for cooking or who do not know much about cooking especially college students or who are studying in a hostel or staying away from family for job or studies. Excellent recipes for the breakfast and to be healthy. Some salads can be prepared without the gas stove also.
Salads everyone can cook easily
1. Corn Salad
Two easiest ways of making a corn salad
Corn & veggie salad:-
Ingredients:-
- 1 cup sweet corn
- 1 cucumber
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1 small capsicum
- 1 large onion
- 2-3 green chillies
- Coriander leaves
- Salt as per taste
- ½ spoon black pepper powder
- 1 spoon squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tbsp salad oil or olive oil
Preparation Steps:-
1. Take a pan add water and get the water boiled. Add the peeled/frozen corn and get it boiled for 3-4 minutes.
2. Drain the excess water and add to a bowl.
3. Then add the dressing ingredients by step by step. Add the chopped cucumber, tomato, capsicum, onion, coriander leaves, salt, pepper powder, salad oil.
4. Mix well and add the lemon juice, coriander leaves.
Note:-Salad oil/olive oil helps for weight loss and gives the taste of the original salad without getting additional fat to the body. If you don’t have the salad oil skip this step and add the other ingredients.

2. Corn Butter masala salad:-
Well, we can go with the second procedure where we can make it much tasty and easier without adding any extra veggies!!!If you add the butter and chat masala you can enjoy the flavour as of you are eating outside corn.
Ingredients:-
- 1 cup boiled corn
- 1 spoon butter
- ½ spoon lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chat masala/pepper powder
- Salt to taste.
Preparation Steps:-
1. Take a bowl to add the boiled corn kernels butter, chat masala, salt and then finally lemon juice.

3. Sprouts salad
Ingredients:-
- 2 cups of sprouted green moong
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1 green chilli
- 1 teaspoon chat masala/pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cucumber
Optional:-
- 1 boiled potato
- Dry fruits
- Fruits like pomegranate, raw mango, apple or orange
- Peanuts
- Few coriander leaves
Note:-There are so many variations of making sprouts salad either we can make it raw salad or else if anyone have digestion problems of eating raw sprouts just boil the sprouts and you can add the other ingredients according to your taste.
The procedure of making Sprouts:-
1. Take 2 cups of green moong and soak in water overnight.
2. Drain the water and pour into a cloth and close the cloth and keep it for the whole day.
Now a day we are getting Sprout maker box in the market. So you can purchase it and follow the same procedure.
3. The sprouts will be ready with full size.
Boiling Sprouts for easy digestion:-
1. Once the sprouts are ready to wash with water and then add litter water and get it steam-cooked for 3-5 minutes.(don’t overcook)
2. Just strain the excess water and get the crunchy sprouts ready.
Sprout’s salad preparation:-
1. Take a bowl add the moong sprouts. Add finely chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, green chilli.
2. Add salt and pepper powder/chat masala and mix well.
3. Garnish the salad with coriander leaves and add the lemon juice.
4. If you want add boiled potatoes or soaked peanuts also.

4. Peanut salad:-
One of the best salads that are suitable for all ages. This recipe is completely oil-free and is made with boiled peanuts.
Ingredients:-
- 1 cup peanut
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups of water
- ¼ tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato, finely chopped
- 1 cucumber
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Preparation Steps:-
1. Soak the peanuts for 2 hrs. Take a pressure cooker add 1 cup of peanuts, a pinch of turmeric, 1 tsp salt, water and then pressure cook for 3 whistles.
2. Drain off the excess water and keep it aside.
3. Take a bowl to add peanuts,¼ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala, chopped onion, tomatoes, cucumber and salt.mix well until all spices are combined.
4. Finally, add the chopped coriander and 1 tsp lemon juice.

5. Macaroni Pasta salad:-
This is one of the best Italian dishes one can try if you are a pasta lover. This acts as a good appetizer for weight loss and has lot of health benefits.
Ingredients
- 4 cup of water
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup macaroni
- 4 tsp eggless mayonnaise
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ¼ chopped onion
- ½ sliced carrot
- ¼ chopped capsicum, julienne
- 1 chopped tomato
- 2 tbsp chopped spring onion
Preparation Steps:-
1. Take a pan to add 4 cups water along with 1 tsp oil and ¾ tsp salt. Boil the water and once the water is boiled add 1 cup macaroni.
2. Boil for 8-10 minutes .once the pasta is cooked well drain off the water and pour some cold water so that it won’t get stuck to each other.
3. Prepare the salad dressing. Take a bowl to add 4 tsp eggless mayonnaise, ½ tsp pepper, 1 tsp lemon juice and ¼ tsp salt and mix well
4. Now add chopped onion, carrot, capsicum, tomato and spring onion.
5. Finally, add cooked macaroni.
6. Mix gently and make sure the salad is coated well sure.
7. Keep it aside for 20-30 minutes so that the macaroni absorbs all the flavours.

6. Moong Mixed vegetable Salad
One of the All-time best salad anyone can try this. This is so simple and easy to make. Enjoy the richness and food taste with these
Ingredients:-
- Chopped carrot, cucumber and tomato.
- 2-3 green chillies
- Coriander leaves
- Yellow Moong dal
- Coconut powder
- Lemon
- Pinch of salt
1. Soak the moong dal for 20-30 min. In the mean time chop the vegetables and grate it or cut it into small pieces.
2. Take a pan to add little oil/butter add the jeera seeds, coconut powder, chillies and then dry roast for a while. Switch off the flame
3. Drain the water from the moong dal and keep it aside.
4. Take a bowl add the chopped vegetables, moong dal and other ingredients. Add salt and lemon as required. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Note:-Moong dal gives a delicious taste and helps to cool the body. This recipe will stay fresh for 3-4 hours (if u squeeze excess water from cucumber). If moong dal is not available u can ignore it and just add the vegetables and mix it with salt, pepper and lemon.

7. Chana chat
Kala chana or black chick peas is one of the best vegetarian source of protein. In these days if you are on fitness track or want to shred some weight then protein rich foods helps you. So here we can see the chana chat or salad which is not tasty but acts as a good filling and helps for every day protein source.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of chickpeas
- 1 chopped Onion
- 1 cup chopped Tomatoes
- 4-5 Green Chillies
- Salt as per taste
- 2 tsp Chat Masala
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Lemon
- Few Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
Preparation Steps:-
1. Soak the Chickpeas overnight or at least 6 hrs so that it can be cooked easily
2. Pressure cook the chickpeas for 2-3 whistles by adding salt and water
3. Drain the excess water and keep it aside.
4. Take a bowl add chopped Onions, Tomatoes and Green Chillies to it. Now add Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Chat Masala, lemon juice and mix it well.

8. Fruit chat
Fruit Chat is one of the easiest and best Indian chats prepared by combining different fruits like apples, bananas, oranges, nuts and grapes with salt and chat spices.
This refreshing chat is loved by everyone and can be enjoyed as an evening snack or to fill in the gap between meals. This can be taken during fasting days or the best food to include in the diet.
Important Note:-
1. Furthermore, we need to follow some tips for an ideal and perfect fruit mix. We can use any choice of fruit combination but make sure to use a combination of sweet, sour and juicy fruits otherwise it leads to stomach problems.
2. One more thing the recipe has to be taken immediately once it is prepared. Otherwise, the spices release the water and change the taste.
Preparation Steps:-
1. Place all the cut fruits as per the availability and choice of your taste in a bowl. Sprinkle black pepper powder, black salt, chat masala and mix them well.
2. Adding of nuts, lemon juice and honey gives the extra taste.
