Are you bored of eating same foods and don’t have time to prepare. We are introducing our cooking recipes which takes very less preparation time and ingredients that are easily available.

Today we will introduce 3 dishes which everyone can prepare. Nowadays everyone wants to have healthy and nutritious foods in their meal so we will start with our recipes.

Quick Recepies with Oats

1.Oats Pongal

 Ingredients:-

  • 1 cup oats
  • ½ cup moongdal
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 5-6 pepper corns
  • Salt for taste
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • 1 Spoon ghee
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp jeera
  • Cashew nuts (optional)

Preparation Procedure:-

1.Take a bowl, wash and soak the moongdal for about 15-20 min. Add the dal and required amount of water and pressure  cook it for 3-4 whistles.

2.In the mean time Take a pan add ghee and then add jeera, chopped ginger, turmeric powder, curry leaves, pepper corns and add the oats and dry roast for 2-3 minutes.

3.Once the cooker steam is gone add the boiled dal to the oats mix add salt as per the taste and cook for 5 minutes. U can add water and adjust the consistency.

4.Take into a bowl and serve hot. Ghee gives rich taste to the Pongal.

2. Oats Uttappam

Ingredients:-

  • Oats- 1Cup
  • Sooji\Upma Rava- 1 Cup
  • Curd – 1 Cup
  • Water – 1.5 Cup
  • Salt- 1/2Tsp
  • Oil as needed

For Stuffing on uttappam:-

  • Chopped Onions
  • Grated Carrot
  • Green chilly chopped
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt- pinch
  • Red Chilli Powder- 1/4 Tsp (for additional spice)

Preparation Procedure:-

1) Take a mixer jar and Powder oats finely.

2) Finely chop onions and green chilli, grate the carrot and keep aside

3) In a bowl, mix together powdered oats, rava, curd, and salt needed. Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.

4) After 20 min add finely chopped onions, green chilli, grated carrot, cabbage, coriander leaves to the batter and mix well.

5) Add enough water to get thick batter consistency.

6) Heat a pan, when it is hot enough, pour a spoonful of batter and spread a little. Adjust the flame to medium and cook it well.

7) Drizzle a tsp of oil around the uttapam and close it with a lid if needed but not necessary.

8) Turn the uttapam to the other side and add little oil.

9) Once it is cooked, remove from the pan and serve hot with chutney. Continue the same process for the rest of the batter.

Important Points:-

If you want you can spread the carrot, onion over the uttappam and cook it or else you can add to the batter for easy way.

3. Oats Fruity Smoothie

Ingredients:-

  • 1 cup of plain oats
  • 1 apple
  • Milk
  • Some dry fruits or nuts
  • Little sugar/Honey for extra sweetness

Preparation steps:-

  1. Take a bowl and add oats, apple slices
  2. Add required amount of milk
  3. Leave it 10-15 min
  4. Take a blender and mix it well if required u can add water/milk depends on thickness
  5. Add 1 spoon of honey or sugar
  6. Pour into a glass holder and garnish with nuts. Enjoy with delicious and healthy breakfast

This breakfast makes you energetic and your tummy full. Fruit can be replaced with banana or mango.
